I cook DC's food/veggies and puree everything.

Now we are introducing meats. I gave him a jar of stage 2 chicken. I did not figure out how to make it myself.

How to fix meat for DC and be the consistency of stage 2?

I boiled chicken and then pureed it with different fruits or veggies. I did chicken w/ sweet potato, apple, and pear (separately!). I just threw it in the Cuisinart together and grinded away until I liked the consistency.

I have not done it yet, but I plan on making pasta or potatoes with organic chicken stock first for a few weeks, then I will boil the chicken.

Basically you just boil it up and then puree it the way you do the vegetables. Although it's usually better to mix it with a little something like veggies like the PP does....

IF DC has already had say potatoes, peas, & carrots do some beef and PRESTO beef stew for baby...

(I cant believe I just said PRESTO)

I did this with chicken - but a question for all of you who make it - what did you do with the left overs? DD is a very small eater and so with one small piece I have about 5 meals out of it - I tried to freeze it but it never defrosts the same - it just looks yucky later.

I used chopmeat and made the kid some spaghetti Bolognaise. I froze it in ice cube trays and it was just enough. My kid doesn't eat anything.

I should have said that I dryfried the minced beef/chicken and I put it through the food processer to make it a bit smoother.

I gave him the Stage 2 dinners with meat - but now that he's basically on regular food - he just gets pieces of what we are eating (chicken cutlets, meatballs, etc)
