BTDT question-Angel montiors..
So I registered for one..my question is, if it God forbid goes off, do you administer CPR? Like if it goes off due to SIDS...can it be stopped with CPR?
thanks!

Re: BTDT question-Angel montiors..
I had one - I returned it, it went off every night and scared the crap out of me!
I know PrincessMaris had one and I think she loved it.
I think the point is if the baby stops breathing for a few seconds you can go in and wake them and they will start on their own. I am not sure.
I would be interested to even know if it has ever saved a babies life.

thanks. When I explained what it was to DH, he could not believe that is what it is for. He said we better take a cpr class asap if we are going to be alerted to save the baby.

well IMO you should take a cpr class anyway. It is amazing how often kids choke on their food/drink...it's always a good thing to know!

If the quit breathing you can wake them to breath or give CPR. If it is SIDS it is said that they can't be revived. My son was in my husbands arms and quit breathing. My husband gave him CPR and "he lived" but was brain dead from going over 12 minutes without oxygen and when he did pass it was still ruled as SIDS, so I am not sure if SIDS babies can be saved. I have one of those monitors and I love it! Although I really don't know what I would do if it would go off for real

completely, just signed us up the other day. 25.00 for couples. I had taken an adult class years ago, but I assume infants are completely different.
