BTDT Travel Moms: Car Seats? SitnStroll?
I'm so torn on what to bring for this trip!
We are going to Cabo for 7 days with Jake. We did NOT get him his own seat on the plane. We will most likely be renting a car once we get there.
My question is, should I borrow the sit n' stroll (pic below) from a friend, or get a rental wit a car seat in it?
I feel like the sit n stroll might be good at night, when we go to dinner, he can pass out in the car, and we can move him around w/o disturbing him too much. Can you get the car seat in and out while they're still in it?
I do still need to bring my maclaren thbough, as I think we need a lightweight, and something with a visor for sun protection during the day.
I'm already over packing as it is, so all of this baby gear isn't helping. Could just use some car seat tips.
ETA - he is one year old, about 24 lbs.

If you are bringing your stroller, then I would rent a carseat. Otherwise, too much "stuff"

I disagree
I would NEVER rent a carseat, especially in another country.
We ALWAYS take our own carseat, throw it in a big laundry bag and check that sucker.
But I know that Karacg loves that sit and stroll and they have travelled internationally with it.

I agree with PP, I would never rent a carseat if I could borrow this one. At least you know that it is a "safe" seat & that it meets all regulations. I am not sure what the regulations are in other countries.
We are debating on purchasing this as our "spare" seat of DH's car since we do a lot of travelling by air to see my family.

LOVE the Sit n Stroll. We've taken many trips with it and it's great as a carseat and in the airport. We do always get DD her own seat on the plane and she is very happy in the sit n stroll on the plane too.
