BTDT...?'s about disability while on maternity leave...
My company told me that they will collect my $170 a week from the state since I will be getting paid a percentage of my salary for the first 6 weeks...does this make sense?
Also, I do not compelte my disability paperwork until after the baby is born?

oh yes, that is correct, it is pretty sad right ? that is the max you can get - all paperwork done after baby is born!

If your job is paying you for the time you are out, I believe they can take the check & pay you the difference. I did my paperwork ahead of time because I was having a scheduled c-section so they knew exactly when I would be out.

I'm a teacher & they gave me my salary so they took my disability $. I filled out some of the paperwork ahead of time but then completed it after the fact b/c I ended up having a c-section
