Buca is gone =(
Buca had been doing SO well until yesterday. Last night, out of nowhere, her lymph nodes in her neck swelled up HUGE, to the point where he face and ears looked distorted. She looked awful, and was drooling all over...I think she was having trouble swallowing. We gave her extra meds and pain killers and called the vet at 10pm. We made the decision that she could make it through the night, and thankfully she had a good night's sleep. This morning she was having trouble eating/swallowing, and that's when we knew it was definitely time.  My husband is there with her right now. I couldn't go, because I have two very sick little girls.  I wish I could be there for DH right now. He is going to have a hard time driving home afterwards.
Rest in peace sweet Buca. You were the best dog we will ever know.

Thank you all so much.
It's been a rough day. It doesn't seem real...
Just a few minutes ago, I SWORE I heard her bark to be let out. I hope she always watches over us.

I am so so sorry -- I am bawling here. I know what a difficult time this has been for you, and know in the end you made the right decision for Buca. Buca is watching over you always, from now on, and loves you for your devotion and love all these years.

I am soooo sorry for your loss. I also had to put my cat down a month ago and I am still heart broken. Your dog is now resting in heaven at peace. She will be in my prayers.
