Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this poem gets posted quite often- but it's alwayd brought me comfort when I think of the furbabies I've lost over the years.....

She was a beautiful dog. Remember all the joy she brought you and know that she is no longer in pain.

I'm so sorry! It's a very hard thing to go through, but it does get a little easier as time goes by.
I had to put my dog to sleep over a year ago, and I still sometimes think that I hear or see him around the house.

I know that I already told you, but I am so sorry!!  I am going to msis Buca so much too! She was the greatest dog!!! She had a great life and had a wonderful family! She is watching over you now.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. It's truly a hard decision to make, but they let us know when it is their time. In 6 days my dog will have been gone for one year. It does get a bit easier, but I miss him terribly. They bring such joy to our lives. You'll see him again.
I hope your girls get better soon.

Thank you ALL.
We're doing okay here. I guess it was sort of a blessing that we've all been puking because it's taken our minds off of things for now. We're very sad but so relieved that she is not in pain anymore.
I appreciate all of the hugs.
