Bundle Me vs. Pouch Infant Seat Cover

just wondering what is everyone using for winter.

my sil gave us the bundle me but i read that highway safety urged people not to use anything that does not come with the seat in case of accidents (same thing the lady at the carseat inspection station told me) so i'm thinking of getting the pouch infant seat cover. what do you girls think?

for those with the pouch infant seat cover from kiddopotamus..where can i get the graphite color? BRU only have pink and blue and don't really want to order it online.

TIA

Re: Bundle Me vs. Pouch Infant Seat Cover

I use a bundle me and I took the lining out of the infant seat so the bundle me is the only thing in there. When I got it inspected they said it is fine and commended me for doing it properly. There is not supposed to be any extra layers between the baby and the straps. That's why it is recommended babies do not wear heavy coats/snow suits while strapped in.

I think the issue is that it's not flame retardant so if the car catches on fire, the fabric on the bundle me can also and it would be underneath the baby. I'm not sure though!
