Bunk beds
DS wants them and my mom gave me money to purchase them.
I don't have a ton to spend though ($1k or less) and was thinking about going with the style with the full size bed on the bottom but doesn't have to have that.
Also kind of like the styles with the drawer ladder for safety and storage.
Should I just go to Bob's? Or anyone have better suggestions.
TKS!
P.S. Are mattresses included with these? I've done some brief research online and they look like they are not super expensive but then again I don't know if mattresses are included.

Bunk beds
I got DS's bunk beds 4 years ago at Bobs's and they were affordable and durable. I got him a Wooden one, twin top and bottom. It comes with ladder and draws on the bottom bunk. We didnt really have the space for a full size bottom. You pruchase the mattress separately. You can't get a high mattress for the top bunk.
He was a month shy of his second birthday when he started to use it. We would take the ladder off and put it on the top bunk. We would only take it out when my SS was over. Now he is 5 and sleeps on the top bunk somestimes and loves it. We have a frame on the bottom bunk that was for when he was a baby. But now I am going to remove it and my SS will sleep on bottom since he is tall as heck!

Re: Bunk beds
Try Raymour and Flannigan clearance ctr, they had a few there last time I was in there that were really nice.
Also generally after Christmas Costco gets their furniture in the store and the last 2 years they have had a bunk bed set that my DS wants sooo bad. I think it was a twin twin though.

Re: Bunk beds
I just bought ours recently and I am VERY happy with the shopping I did and the product I bought.
Long story short, I went to a few stores and they all wanted between $1,100 - $1,600 for a twin over twin (we wanted steps and a trundle too). I visited Casco Kids in Centereach and they wanted $1,100 for THIS SAME set that I wound up buying online. Not to mention, buying local would add delivery and tax. Buying online was NO delivery and NO tax (but that also meant DH had to assemble it, no biggie)

I thought my DH would be upset that I bought something cheap (since it WAS a cheaper price) but it's not at ALL! He was surprised how sturdy it is.
Let me know if I can help you with this. I just did this all in the last two months
ETA: No, this does not included mattresses, but we went to the Sleepy's clearance center in Riverhead and got 2 mattresses for less than $300 each!
