Re: Bus Stop
We no longer take the bus (it stops after 2nd grade if you are within 1 mile of the school). BUT.. when we did bus it was 2 blocks away. Now the kids that bus to our school on our street are right at the corner!

Re: Bus Stop
Last year ours was 3 houses away. There were 2 other kids at the stop and so it was pretty much half way between everyone's houses.
This year we're the only ones at the stop, so I've gradually moved the stop to our house! The bus driver doesn't seem to mind! We live on a very busy road anyway so I feel more comfortable when we are able to wait in our own driveway!

Re: Bus Stop
across the street from our next door neighbor.
There is another one that is about 2-3 houses down the hill the other way. (different bus route)

Re: Bus Stop
It's supposed to be at the corner, but since it's only DS the driver picks up and drops off at my driveway.

Re: Bus Stop
officially across the street and down about 300ft at a neighbors house. Which I was fine with, but all the other kids on the block get picked up at their house (the bus stops 4 times on this one block of 12 houses!). I don't know why E was the exception (especially since she's the youngest) but may have been due to a later registration since we just moved.
I asked the bus driver about it, and now she picks her up at our house (since she passes right by us anyway).

Re: Bus Stop
Our front door.
My kids are actually the only ones on their bus route that are picked up at home. I gather this because we live on a long, secondary street and the nearest intersection/corner is not that close and since their are no sidewalk on our street, probably a little hazardous for the kids to have to walk to a stop.

Re: Bus Stop
My DD goes to a priavte school and the bus picks her up in front of the house but the public school bus stop is also in front of our house but right across the street on the other side
