Buying Baby Items From Craigslist / Ebay

To save on cost, is anyone here buying items from craigslist or ebay?

I just scored myself a new Lascal Carrier for $75 bucks (originally $130).It's like a baby Bjorn but much better. :D

Re: Buying Baby Items From Craigslist / Ebay

DH and I buy lots of things off ebay/amazon.

For baby items, I probably will buy from reputable retailers with good return policies. I've heard many people buy things they never use. I may as well leave the option to exchange items for that reason alone.

I know Bed Bath & Beyond has a great return policy. I'm hoping Buy Buy Baby is similar.

You may want to check out the book Baby Bargains. They give recommendations on what items are good to buy used vs items that are highly recommended to buy new due to safety, sanitation, etc.

Re: Buying Baby Items From Craigslist / Ebay

I'm always up for a bargain. I have no problem getting stuff off of Craigslist or ebay. I actually just bought a Peg Perego highchair Original Price $200 I got it for $50.00 only used for one year it is in mint condition. It's for my parents house!!!

Certain this I will not buy off of craigslist is a car seat or base because it might of been in an accident.

I have that book and it's what spurred me on to buy things at discount. :D

Oh, and I won't buy used stuff, just new items that people are unable to return or use after opening the box. Like the Lascal Carrier...

DH would freak out if he knew I'm looking at buying anything used from craigslist or ebay!

I would, but it depends on the item. I personally wouldn't buy a used crib, because I would worry that it had not been put together correctly, or may have been recalled at some point. But I am all for being used/nearly new clothes, especially since the babies grow so quickly!

I was thinknig about getting clothes that still has price tags on them (unwashed and unworn) but I think you'll be getting so much clothes from your shower you won't need anymore!

I got tons from my shower and my sister is offering even more when I see her next weekend!!!
