Buying concert tickets on StubHub or EBay
I'm trying to get decent seats for American Idol for my daughter.
Do you think the prices go up or down as it gets closer to the concert?
I don't know - if they still have the tickets they will want to get rid of them and lower their prices - or they might be more in demand closer to the concert and then the prices will go up.
Which do you think?

Re: Buying concert tickets on StubHub or EBay
On Stubhub, the sellers are offered a declining value option when they sell tickets.
For example, they could sell them for $100 and keep it at that price. OR, they can use the declining value option and tell Stubhub that they want to start the price at $150, but won't take less than $50 for the ticket, and Stubhub calculates how much the ticket will decline each day to help it sell.
So, in a nutshell, if sellers choose this option, their tickets automatically get cheaper as the date nears.
That might help a LITTLE in your decision

Melissa - thanks for that info. I am still on the fence about Bon Jovi next week and keep checking available tickets on stub hub.
