buying shoes..need advice

we went to stride rite and hannah was measured. she has a size 4 foot and they told me to get a 4.5 shoe. well, i did and they seem huge on her. do i continue to buy 4.5? is that common to buy a 1/2 size bigger for babies?

They told me the same thing. They said that in a sneaker, Ava would be a 5.5, but in a T strap, she'd be a 6, but in a regular shoe, she'd be a 5. I left there thinking what the hell She's most definitely not a 5.5 or a 6, I buy her all 5s right now because that's what fits her. Even the 5.5 was making her fall down. I always go with what fits because her foot doesn't really grow as fast as the rest of her body in our case.

ohh no...is this what I have to look fwd to when we take Aly there for the first time tomorrow????This sound s very confusing. Id think a 1.2 size bigger than their foot would make it hard for them to walk in them? or make them fall off??
