c-section moms( incision question)

How do I know if I ripped it open in a spot?

It looks like its sealed SHUT in all but one spot, where it looks like the skin is not as sealed together? Its sore. Not horrible pain, just sore...

i have Dr's on Thursday to look at it. Can I wait till then?

Re: c-section moms( incision question)

I would say you can wait so long as it's not bleeding. I ripped open my incision in one spot and it bled for weeks. I had to have it sealed with a silver nitrate stick a couple of times for it to finally heal. It was a pain in the azz. The dr. told me to keep a piece of gauze over it and change it a few times a day.

I think I will do that, no bleeding I can see..just a tinge redder then then the other areas, and no pus or anything Chat Icon ...Will tape some gauze over it.

THANK YOU for your help!!

Donna- I had a spot like that - I went to the Doctors for my 2 week visit - and she said it is fine.

I would be concerned if it was oozing or bleeding

If it is not bleeding or anything then you should be ok to wait till thurs. But be very carefull to not over do it and make it worse. That happened to me and it closed on its own eventually just slower then the rest of the incision.

Re: c-section moms( incision question)

I'd call the office if you are concerned about it getting infected, or if it looks like there might be excessive scar tissue forming, but I agree, as long as it is not oozing or bleeding you should be OK.

Chat Icon Hope you are feeling well!
