C-section pain meds/baby's temperament?
My little lady is THE easiest baby at the moment. She rarely cries, and when she does it's easy to diagnose <usually hunger>. She sleeps through the night when we aren't waking her up to eat. She never swapped days and nights.
Obviously I LOVE this but know it could be temporary. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with the Percocet's I've been taking for the c-section pain. Both the OB and Ped assured me MANY times it's safe for me to take these while BFing, but I'm wondering if they are mellowing out my little girl.
Anyone have this experience and then have the baby become a little terror when they were done with the meds? What can I expect?
Thanks!

Re: C-section pain meds/baby's temperament?
LUCKY ladies!!! While I have a good baby....he doesnt sleep and feedings are hard(he has reflux) I also thought the first 3 weeks were SIMPLE!
As for BFing...percocets do go through your milk to your baby. I am sure everyone has different opinons on what to take and what not to take. I was on BP meds and I swear DS was soo calm during that time. AFter i had been taking them I read online they are not recommended while BFing, but I trusted my dr. If i would have read before I would have def stopped BFing, bc I HAD to go on BP meds.

Re: C-section pain meds/baby's temperament?
I BF'ed after the c/s on percocet and still have to take it from time to time for another issue. They have 0 effect on DD.
You are still in the honeymoon period (as it was once described to me). She will wake up soon! And it is just because of brain development and the way newborns are. Nothing to be alarmed about. Enjoy it!
To answer your question-DD was an angel the first two-three weeks and then it went downhill fast. However, she has reflux and a milk allergy so that was why. She is an absolute angel and lights up a room when she arrives at 6 months (and even before! She was always a great baby when she felt well).
Try not to over think it because there is no way to know
