Cable question

We are moving from the apartment to a house :) Now we had that triple play thing and now the year is over and it is now reg price. If I transfer and change the address then I am charged the nonpromo price. What if I cancel it and then my DH calls and opens a new account and want the triple play is he considered a "new customer"? (It was opened in my old last name at our apt)

Right now I have them moving the account. But I can call and just say we dont want it. Then when we get into the house call and be like we want cable, phone and internet....

Does that work?

It will probably work, you most likely won't be able to transfer your old phone # to the house though.

we keep the number b/c they said we are going to a dif zip code so it wont carry over

bt i already sched for the moving transfer....do u think I can just call and be like forget it.....

then when we get in have DH call again and sched it?

We are doing the same thing. My DH has been on the account while we lived in the apt. When we move, I am calling as the "new customer" and get the triple play again.

i just called and told them that i wanted to cancel but wasn't sure if i wanted to move it to the next house and they worked with me. i got the triple play and a tivo free for a year!! they did all they could to keep me so i would call and threaten to leave so that they'll do the same for you!! but if it didn't work out that way i was going to have dh call and set up the new account. good luck!

That is what we did. I ordered it for the year in our apartment under my maiden name and then when we moved DH put the cable in his name and we are just approaching our 2nd year triple play. This is one of the reasons I opened the account in my name at the apartment because I figured that when we moved we might be able to get away with it.
