Cablevision's Family pack... No Premium Channels, Phone or Internet for $70.00!
$70.00 for no premium channels and I don't even have CV's phone or internet. That's very expensive... 
FIOS please hurry....

The DVR service is $9.95, you still have the rental fee for the box too.

Check the threads about Fios--I would not go with them EVER again. We are back with Cablevision after months of hassle with Fios. NOT WORTH IT.

We just got our first bill after the triple play year promo. I see all these weird fees that weren't there before. I was so ******. I called them up and asked them why these fees weren't there before. They hit us up for 10.95 just to have the music stations and interactive channels. I told them I was done and wanted to cancel. My bill went from 146 to 123. I wasn't satisified and they took off the dvr box charge for a full year. The promo is extended another year. I am normally not a person to complain but these fees came up after the promo period and it annoyed me that I couldn't see them before.

I wanted to get rid of my movie channels because my bill was $150 a month with all 3 services and just one regular cable box. They only wanted to shave off $17.00 a month for downgrading the movie channels. Cable stinks! We want to switch FIOS soon.

They stood us up three times for installation, then installed incorrectly and i waited on the phone over 2 hours each time waiting for customer service. who couldn't help at all. i just don't think they are prepared to deal with the increase in volume. i went back to cablevision.

i am SO glad we just got fios.
keep in mind that cablevision doesn't know what areas are covered by fios - they are currently in the middle of a "bidding war" with verizon.
if you tell cablevision you got quoted a lower price with verizon, you may be able to get them to match or go lower. that's what DH and i did. cable gave us $$ off our bill (of course, when we told verizon about that, they gave us even MORE $$ off our bill so we ended up saving a ton! and yeah, we went with fios. so happy we did!)

Sorry you had a bad experience, my install tech was smart and went way above expectations, hid my wires and everything, gave me a bunch of HDMI cables and really looked out for me..
The 40.00, up front, tip probally didn't hurt my cause either.........

I wouldn't switch to FIOS unless I was getting a significantly better deal money wise.
The installation is a hassle. And after all those stories I hear about Verizon screwing people out of their free TVs... no thanks.
Plus I have dealt with Verizon on a business level many times. Let me just say Verizon is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

We have had Fios since we moved in. The installation went fine. It took about 2 hours and we havent had a problem with it at all.

Exactly - then after your initial promo contract is up the price will probably go right up to what Cablevision is charging now anyway.
