Cake Pops - Icing Flavor

I'm going to attempt making my first cake pops.

I know I want to use Devil's Food Cake as it's the recipients favorite.

What flavored icing would you use?

TIA!

let me know how they come out....i considered buying the tins and trying them but havent done that yet.

if you are going with devils food cake, i personally would like a vanilla icing.

Re: Cake Pops - Icing Flavor

We did chocolate icing with devil's food cake and it was sooooo good. I was a little worried it would be TOO chocolatey, but it tasted like a gooey, delicious brownie pop!

Re: Cake Pops - Icing Flavor

i made 200 cake pops for my DDs Christening and i did three flavor cakes...and for me it was just easier to "match" the flavor cake to the icing..

so i did vanilla with vanilla, choc with choc, and strawberry with strawberry! Everyone LOVED them it was the talk of the party! haha!

good luck!!
