Re: Cakes For Christening
We opted for something different. We got a BIG canoli filled with filling surrounded by a bunch of little canoli shells.
However, we've gotten good cakes from Costco, Shop Rite, and Dortonis.

We got ours from Alpine Pastry Shop in Smithtown in the shape of a Christening Gown. It was really beautiful - and we got the pregnant cannoli from them too - everything was wonderful!

I get our big occasion cakes from Black Forest in Lindenhurst. DD Chirstening cake was a gown with all these beautiful white flowers.

Costco!!!!!!!! MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! We also got it from there for my bridal and baby showers. Cheesecake filling in ours (but they have many different kinds). I want to order one now for absolutely no reason.

St Honore's pastry shop in port washington. Here is a pic - everyone always loves the cakes we get from there. The cake was done in fondant.

Re: Cakes For Christening
We got ours from Benkerts. I gave them a sketch of DSs outfit and they made the cake to look like his outfit and it came out great. For 35 people, the cake cost $65 I think.

Wow, must be beautiful. If you do not mind can you share what they charge you for christening gown cake? I am looking into something like this as well.
