California fires :-(

so... we're supposed to fly into San Fransisco on Friday night. planning to spend saturday and sunday driving down to disneyland and seeing stuff on the way. then 3 nights/2 days in disneyland, and then a couple more days of site seeing on the way back to SF to fly home ( i think we have a night in sequoia, a night in yosemite... i forget what all DH booked.)

But, now with the fires, i'm worried a little bit. just not knowing what the situation out there will be at that point... my younger son has some breathing issues sometimes (not full blown asthma though, as far as we/ the doctor can tell...)

Not sure what all we should. Obviously, its completely nothing compared to what the people actually living it are dealing with... but, just trying to figure things out. will we be far enough away from everything? Do they really need more people coming into the state when all thats going on?? LOL

Yosemite was recently on fire also. I don't know what I would do. If you can cancel and everything refunded, then I would probably do that and go another time to be honest. If you are going to lose it all, I would just research the areas you are going to be in heavily. Look at DISboards, they always know everything, even non related to Disney, since so many people live all over the country on there.

Also, if you are on FB, go to the page Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground, and he does a live video in the park on Mondays. Usually around 5 PST. You can see the current condition of that area (looks clear though), and maybe ask him about surrounding areas.

Do you have trip insurance? If so I'd cancel and see about rescheduling for another time. I don't think I'd risk it especially if my child had breathing issues.
