calling all parrot owners
So Marvin has been here three weeks and he is comfortable enough to yell & scream almost all the time. We cover him at times during the day & he still screams. He is infatuated with Rich, he reguritates his food for him, does the parrot hump on his arm & if he thinks Rich is anywhere in the house he uses every REALLY loud noise he can think of to get Rich's attention. The other problem I think we are having is that his cage is currently in our great room which is bright with daylight. We are planning on moving him to another room but its under construction. Any tricks to break the habits of the screaming noises?

Ha! If you find something let us know!!
We treat Sage as if he was a child...when he gets unruly he gets a "time out" and goes into his "night night" cage (in our bedroom) with the door closed. That usually quiets him down.
We do the same thing for his biting the cage bars...(he's broken so many cages!)
LOL @ the parrot hump
