I'm so sorry you missed it! I would have been so upset too! And, would probably need to obsess over it for a little while too. You really should try not to beat yourself up over it though. I'm sure she will love her family day too!! Lots of these

shes upset and venting. if she wanted to really yell at the teacher she would have.

Take her to Friday's and have them come over and sing happy bday to her & bring her a dessert !
It sucks to miss things at daycare. Especially BIG things.
Heck, I was upset yesterday that they gave him applesauce and didnt write it down.
I wanted to see the first reaction to applesauce.

I really appreciate the hugs and support, everyone! I wrote that literally within the hour that it happened, so I was quite upset. I'm much better today. And I know my sweetie had a BLAST and I'm so glad she did...I'm just the type that must be there for every little second and MUST have it on video!!! All my FB friends can attest to that!

I would have been very upset too  Unfortunately, I can see the teachers' side as well. Usually at daycare they're kept on a specific schedule, I know at the preschool I worked at they ate snack right after nap and kids need that stability & routine. (not to mention that a lot of moms CAN'T come so teachers rarely expect it). So that's a way to give them the benefit of the doubt. That said, if you had mentioned it to one of the teachers, why would she still not make the effort to wait? Read them a book while you wait, kwim? Unless the kids were all getting too crazy and overwhelming and it was just too much to make them wait. I guess you never know what actually went on, but either way I'm sorry you missed it. That REALLY stinks. Now you know for next time to reiterate that you will be coming back and maybe even put a big fat note ON the cupcakes saying "I WILL BE HERE AT 3:15 ON 6/29 TO SERVE THESE"
