Can a 21 month old sleep with a pillow?
Ds is 21 months and lately when he sleeps in his crib I notice that he balls up his blankets and rests his head on them when he's sleeping. I'm wondering if it's time to give him a pillow.
Can a 21 month old use a pillow or is it still too young? And if I do give him a pillow, do they make specific pillows for toddlers or should I just give him one of mine (I'm just thinking mine might be too big for him).

DS is 14m he sleeps with a pillow, but doesn't really use it, until he wakes up and starts lounging around, or playing with it. Seems like he gets what its for but not used to sleeping on it.

I gave DS a pillow at 14 months. We just used one of ours that was flatter (not a puffy or down one)
He has been sleeping with it ever since (he is now 3.5yo.)

DD has had a pillow since about 9 months or so (I think) It's a regular pillow just very flat. She slept better with it.
Our ped suggested a travel pillow also.

JJ is 20 months & sleeping with a pillow since he was 6 months old..
Nicholas is 9.5 months old & has been sleeping with a pillow since he was 4 months old

My DD has been sleeping with a pillow since 14-15 months, when she started balling up her blankets like a pillow, i gave her a pillow to use herself.

DD is 23 months and has been sleeping with a pillow for a few months now. I just gave her one of our flat down pillows--nothing special.

DS has been sleeping with a toddler pillow since he was about the same age as your son. I bought it at BRU.

DD and DS both had pillows at 1 year old. What I did was I put the pillow underneath the fitted sheet. That way they got used to having the incline and I did not worry as much about things moving.
