Can anyone give me a recommendation for a pediatric podiatrist?
Recently, one of DD's toes has begun to look raised...almost like it's being squished upwards above the other toes ( if that makes any sense). I want to take her to a specialist to have it looked at. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I don't know a pediatric podiatrist but I do have a toe like that on my own foot..from my experience it hasn't been painful. my dd has it now too..it was hereditary. Does anyone in your family have a toe like that? I hope this eases your mind

Thanks for your reply :) I don't know of anyone in my family that has toes like that but honestly, it doesn't bother me. I just want to make sure that it does not affect her walking.

Re: Can anyone give me a recommendation for a pediatric podiatrist?
Ask your pediatrician. They will have someone in the area.
DS has funny toes (overlapping). The ped pointed it out... and then I looked at DH toes. His overlap too & I never noticed it! His own brother never noticed it (I pointed it it out at a family dinner).
The ped said that I can go for a brace... but DH was a soccer captain & has no issues with his toes... so I'm not doing anything.
Ds, at 3.5 can EASILY outrun me & his 7 year old soccer star cousin. Maybe it's an advantage?? lol

Re: Can anyone give me a recommendation for a pediatric podiatrist?
My DS had the same thing. I had 2 bunion surgeries years ago so I used the same podiatrist for my DS. Dr. Kornfeld, I think he is in Manhasset http://www.drrobertkornfeld.com/ My DS has been wearing orthotics and we tape his toes. Been going to the podiatrist since he was under 2 and is now 5 and his toes are looking much better. Still have a way to go, but a big improvement. I cannot recommend Dr. Kornfeld highly enough!
