Can anyone please recommend a developmental pediatrician
Please.. I currently have an app't with Dr. Marcie Silverman in babylon, but some of the reviews here were not good and scared me.
I have a friend who went to Dr. Huang affiliated with LIJ who is in Commack. I hear good about her and Dr. Adesman.
I don't know what to do. One part of me just wants to keep my ap't with Silverman but I am scared re": what I saw. although those posts were a while ago..
Can anyone please recommend someone. Thanks, Denise

Can anyone please recommend a developmental pediatrician
We use Dr. Adesman. We actually have an appointment next week. We have only been once before and he seemed good. He listened to my concerns, was good in trying to talk to DD and actually kind of put my mind at ease regarding some issues. He was a pretty straight shooter and that's is what I needed.

Silverman is nice but she's scatter brained. I can only speak for myself... She didn't tell us anything new or give any insight. We waited almost a year to see her and basically she said my son had a language delay. I knew that going in. We waited in the waiting area for over an hour. It just wasn't geared towards special needs kids (who have a hard time waiting.) at all. IMHO.
We also saw Dr. Scherzer in Riverhead who is straight up crazy.
We saw Dr. Jennifer Cross in Manhattan. She was very helpful. She met with us for over 2 hours and there was no wait. I found her advice to be the best. Our son had a really bad soy allergy. She told us to take him to a DAN doctor. The only thing is that she doesn't take insurance, the visit is $500.
The best person we saw was the psychologist from EI, his name is Chris Smith. He was awesome, and free.

I requested a psych eval through EI. He works through Marion K. Salomon in Bohemia.
