I've used a Garmin (c550 and c330), and if I save my address as my name, the American voice can't pronounce Shawn properly, but the Australian voice can.... Chat Icon

I say that all the time IRL now to DH whenever he does something wrong.

He dropped an egg on the floor when cooking the other day and I did a "Recalculating" and got the worst look. Chat Icon

I also joke that if we ignore her long enough there's probably a "You are obviously an idiot. Please never drive a car again." saying in there somewhere!!!

I joke around that there should be a Brooklyn guy voice.

"Hey, dumba$$, you missed the f***in turn!"
"Where did you learn to drive, you moron!"
"What part of Turn Left Now didn't you understand?"

Tom Tom

Tom Tom without a doubt. I have used Garmin & Magellan in addition to the Tom Tom, and I have found the most accuracy & success with the Tom Tom.

OMG we have ours set to the British accent too. We had the regular lady (we call her Betsy) for awhile and she was driving me nuts so we switched to the British voice and we call her Elizabeth because she sounds so fancy. Chat Icon Chat Icon

We have a Magellan and we keep it on British as well. We turned it on one day and it stuck. Once we changed it back to American Engligh but it just wasn't the same so we had to turn it back Chat Icon .

We even tried switching to a different voice & they ALL sound like that. We crack up every time!

We also renamed the guy we chose to Dr. North. For some reason he says Doctor instead of Drive...for the LIE Svc Rd North.Chat Icon
