Can anyone recommend a reputable Boxer breeder?
Would prefer LI but wouldn't mind traveling to the boroughs.
Thanks! Maria

You should try a boxer rescue organization first before running out to buy from a breeder.

I don't have a recc but good luck on your search! I disagree, I think as long as you find a reputable breeder, you will be fine.

"be fine?" There are plenty of pure-bred boxers out there in rescue organizations that need homes....puppies and full-grown dogs. Why should she pay for a dog (and further support breeding new dogs) when she could rescue and adopt one who doesn't have a home??? The boxers out there who have been abandoned and don't have homes sure won't "be fine!!"

We have talked this over a LOT on this board, so I won't get into it anymore. LOL -- Thanks for the eye roll, but I fostered and rescued my english bulldog from a bulldog rescue and have been active with their organization...so I know allllll about what you are talking about in rescuing.
However, even with the experience of adopting my bully -- and seeing first hand the importance of rescuing -- I still support those who do their homework and adopt from reputable breeders.
Good luck to the OP!
