Can anyone recommend a speech therapist for Nassau County
Looking for a private speech therapist to come to my home. DC did not qualify for EI so we are seeking a different route. TIA

Re: Can anyone recommend a speech therapist for Nassau County
I think it depends on where you live. Many speech therapists work in either schools, agencies or private practice, so finding one that will come to your home that isn't working through EI, can be a challenge. If you are flexible with "time" you can maybe find one to come before school hours or after, or even weekends, if they live near you.
There are a few ways to locate therapists by their credentials. This doesn't necessarily mean they are recommended but based on your child's needs you can find one who has training that matches.
Something to also consider is the universities. You would have to take your child to them but many in the area offer all kinds of services. The agencies also do private practice.
Send me a fm if you need help.
