It definitely could. Sometimes it's just the switch, though I think Similac Sensitive has rice starch in it, which could also do it. I know DS was HORRIBLY constipated when we gave him rice cereal.
DS was on Similac Sensitive for awhile, then we switched to Enfamil Gentlease, because I noticed Sensitive has both corn syrup and sucrose in it and tasted sweeter (yes I tried both formulas)! Anyway, he had constipation problems off and on with Sensitive but with Gentlease, it vanished. But that might just be his system and how it accepted the formulas.

I was told that a switch in formula can definitely change poopies. Loose or hard.
