Reflux or Formula change needed?
Heres my situation. DD has been spitting up at almost every feeding. Its not the entire feeding but sometimes it can be alot as it soaks the clothing around her neck. It comes out he mouth and through her nose at times and I feel so bad-she cries. Very irratible when we feed her---we have to stop frequently and burp her before she finishes an ounce or two but with persistence she takes it and has been gaining about 5 ounces a week. She is also very gassy and moans in her sleep. She is on (Neosure Advance for Preemies) and gets Polivysol and fergensol Iron drops. We go to her Pediatrician on Monday.

Re: Reflux or Formula change needed?
This happend to Reese she would spit up through her nose. Your DC was a preemie right? Well, I think with preemies the sphincter muscle is underdeloped which causes the formula to not stay down. Anyway, I used Enfamil AR which seemed to help. Also, not sure if this is the case but with Syd that started to happened and i was told by a gastro doc that i was overfeeding her. To much formula that she would spit up..so i spaced it 2 1/2 -3 hours always before another bottle. Reese eventually went on Prilosec, and zantac she eventually got better but i was never sure if it was her getting bigger and all of the muscles developing or the medicine. Sometimes their is nothing that can really be done except for time..hope it works out. Also try a little Maylox before you feed the bottle..that helped to..but ask your doc 1st.

Re: Reflux or Formula change needed?
Dh thought it was over feeding but then we noticed it would happen even before she finished half a 3-4oz bottle and shes fed 2-3hrs between. I read it is a preemie issue so definitely going to speak to her doc since I waited so long.
