Can I ask a question for a friend?

First...congrats to all you ladies!!

My friend has been trying to get pregnant for over a year. She started IVF last week and has been pumped with high doses of meds. She went to the doctor this morning and she only made 3 eggs. doctor said she should have made at least 10 by now. Has anyone made a low number of eggs and still went on to have it fertilize and get pregnant? TIA!

My sister only had 3 and had all 3 put back. SHe got PG with her now 20m DS.

Each cycle is different and you never know how soemone will react to the meds. She could be on the same meds next cycle and produce more.....if this cycles does not work they will probably adjsut the dosage of things.

It is definitely possible! After being on max doses of the meds for 11 days, I only had 4 eggs retrieved - all 4 fertilized, but only 3 were doing well. Ended up transferring the 3 (2 good, 1 ehh) on Day 3. My daughter is now almost 13 months old!
