i appreciate all the warm wishes--as does my DH, Pete. he fell asleep on the couch just a few minutes ago....i'm gonna wake him up and bring him to bed.
how crazy is this story? DH came home yesterday and was telling me how crazy it was that an SUV used by undercover cops from another agency was stolen at a car wash by some crackheads when it was coming out. we laughed about how crazy that was.
well GUESS what vehicle hit him and his partner?? yup--that same one. not before almost running over 2 detectives! when the stolen car hit my DH's patrol car---working on PURE adrenaline---he jumped out of the car and actually chased the guy along with the other detectives. luckily this guy was picked up by the detectives--and he had a rap sheet as long as the phone book---and crack pipes were in the car. it was at this point that everything kind of hit my DH--and he kind of got woozy---and the pain of the accident kicked in--especially in his chest.
after loads of paperwork and the ER---he's really feeling the pain now and is exhausted. nothing is worse than getting that phone call that he's hurt. but the good thing is that my brother works in the neighboring precinct and rushed to the scene and went with him to the hospital....that helped me out a LOT...knowing my bro was there.
so coming home to this is so sweet--i will be sure to show him this post when he wakes up tomorrow. you guys rock!

WOW that is wacky. MANY feel better soon vibes your way. My dad was a cop and one day we got a knock on the door from a uniformed officer and I immediatly thought the worst. Being related to anyone who is FD or PD is a hard thing
