Can I wash a jacquard comforter that says dry clean only?
I really don't want to dry clean something that I will be sleeping under for 8 hours a night. KWIM? So can I wash it?

nope..you will probably ruin the stuffing.
I dry clean my comforters without issue.
Are you allergic to dry cleaning chems?

I see your point but I would try the gentle setting. GL!

I wouldnt risk it, especially if you would be heartbroken if it got ruined.
What the difference if between wearing a shirt and pants all day that has been dry cleaned or sleeping with a comforter that has been dry cleaned?

It will get ruined. I have washed a DC only comforter ONE time. It was a disaster, I ended up having to get a whole new set. It is SO worth the $20 to DC it.

Re: Can I wash a jacquard comforter that says dry clean only?
I would not wash it. If it is polyester with cotton in the jacquard, the weaves can shrink in different directions and "skew" the design. Besides all over shrinkage.
They do put a "finish" on the fabric once it's woven to make it softer and reduce the level of shrinkage, but I wouldn't fool around with it.

DONT wash it.....like Blu-ize said you WILL ruin the stuffing. I did it and that is what happened.
