Can I wear this dress to a Sat night wedding?
I'm 10wks PP and have a sad, spare tire around my belly still.
I tried on a lot of my dresses from other events in the past years, but none fit. I don't want to buy a dress in the size I'm in right now, but I have this maternity dress from last season.
If I dress it up with a nice wrap and fancy shoes, earrings - would this be OK to wear? The wedding is at Westbury Manor...
TIA!!

I wouldn't to be honest.
I would HATE some jerk to come up to you and ask you when you're DUE?! KWIM?
Get yourself a good girdle and buy yourself a non-maternity dress!

Re: Can I wear this dress to a Sat night wedding?
Unfortunately, I'm afraid they'll ask me that even if I wear a non-maternity dress.
I'm going to go buy a girdle tonight when Dh gets home and I'll re-investigate my closet. If I'm still at a loss, then I'll go shopping tomorrow....
Thanks!

I think it's fine to wear. But wear it with some spanx so you feel better.
At 10 weeks pp, you should still have some belly left. Don't be so hard on yourself!

I think it'll work fine and at 10wks PP you better still have that tire or I'll be REALLY jealous That dress doesn't scream maternity to me at all.

Re: Can I wear this dress to a Sat night wedding?
A lot of dresses and shirts now a days look like that. I have a lot of shirts that I could totally hide a preggo bellly in. It's just the style. I don't think it screams maternity either. I say wear it...why waste money on a dress in size you don't plan to stay for much longer??

I definitely think you can dress up it with jewelry and shoes and it will look fabulous! Wear it.

I think you can wear it. At 10 weeks pp, it is normal to still ahve a stomach.

Spanx and frequent references to your newborn should do the trick.

Re: Can I wear this dress to a Sat night wedding?
I wouldn't wear it, but more for mental reasons than anything else.
I imagine it is hard enough feeling beatufiul or sexy right now...and how many events do you really get to dress up at???
I would go out, get spanx/girdle whatever and go to a store like Loehmanns, Century, Marshalls...even macy's or nordstrom on sale and buy myself a dress.
I'd know I was wearing a maternity dress, and I wouldn't feel as good about myself.
I bet you could find a nice dress for way less than $100.
good luck!
I just searched the Nordstrom dress shop under apple (which generally means a tummy, full bust) and found all of these
I think something with a bit more shape and a knockout color will blow everyone away...there is no reason you shouldn't work it and look HOTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!
and you could always have a tailor make alterations once you lose the weight!
