Re: can someone explain the difference between a sonogram, ultrasound, ultrascreen
Sonograms and ultrasounds are the same thing.
The ultrascreen is a test that is given between 11-14 weeks which tests for downs syndrome. It is a sonogram and a finger prick blood test.
The Level II, given around 20 weeks, is also called an anatomical scan because it scans all the baby's internal organs and measures everything including the heart, brain, bones, kidneys, etc.
HTH!
