Can someone recommend a good walk-in doctor in Nassau County
Can somebody recommend a good doctor that takes walk-in sick patients. Either a private office or a clinic that takes insurance would be fine.
I hate having to make an appointment for such silly stuff like fevers and such, which usually ends up with begging the receptionist to see me because they are always "booked".
Looking for somebody in Nassau County, preferably on the south shore.
I had somebody in Bellmore, but I am firing him because the people that work for him are such b****es.
Oh and I need a general adult internalist (not a pediatrician)
Thanks in advance.

my doc is not a walk in clinic but once you are a patient or referred usually you can get in to see him or the NP same day.
he is in Wantagh.
Let me know if you need the info.

That's the way I work as well. Since I don't need referrals to see specialists with my insurance, I don't really have a general "family" doctor.
I just go to the type of doctor I need to see depending on the condition.
If I have a foot problem, I get a podiatrist recommendation (usually by doing a search on here)
If I sprain my wrist, I see the orthopediest.
If I have a fever or a sore throat, I just want to see somebody quickly and without receptionist drama.

She's very nice. I've been to her a few times. She's even called me in the evenings on the day I saw her to check how I was doing.

Dr. Robert Peck @ first care in baldwin, on grand avenue. I have been there for the same trivial things and he is actually great. My mom and DH have also been there and like him a lot.

yes, she is awesome! I walked into her office at 9: 00 PM three days before my wedding and she was great! gave me the meds. i needed quickly so i wasn't sick for my big day!
Also, just really nice and thorough, even though it was a walk-in....she did not rush with you. she also takes regular patients.

yes, i grew up in Baldwin, so many a visit to Dr. Peck. He doesn't have the best bedside manner, but he is very thorough and doesn't mess around.
