can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
Sadly enough both are TV related.
When DS wants to watch Dora, or sees anything Dora related, he says "da da da da Dora" like the theme song.
and there is one episode where Swiper builds a robot butterfly to help him swipe, so now when he sees a butterfly, he calls it a "Swipe, swipe, swipe" (or actually "wipe, wipe, wipe per my previous post since he can't say his "s"s.

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
Well, getting back to not being able to say "L's" and "S's"..the other day I hear DD talking to her froggie saying...
"Crap! Crap! Crap! You're such a good crapper."
Upon looking at what she was doing..she was making the frog cLap and was telling him he was a good cLapper!!
This is just one of the many things she cracks us up saying!!!

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
When you ask Kaydyn to do something she doesn't want to do...or tell her something like "it's time to go to bed"...she puts her head down and says "Oh man"
She calls my MIL mama and my FIL papa. Sometimes when she is in a rush and doesn't want to say both names she just says "MaPa" to get the attention of both of them.

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
When DD was learning animal sounds, she would say c o c k, c o c k, c o c k if you asked her what a rooster says. For that reason we rarely asked her that. One day we were at the park and one of the nearby houses had roosters. She heard him and for the whole walk home she kept saying c o c k, c o c k, c o c k.
The other day she put on my shoes and stood against the wall with her hip out and hand on head like she was a model. She turned around to me and goes Mommy I Sesay (sexy).
She calls our wedding album mommy daddy kissy book.
She now thanks me in English and Chinese at least once a day because of Ni Hao Kai Lan. Mommy shea shea, tank you.

My recent one is Dora related too. When we moved back upstairs last wk (following condtruction), I saw ryan circling around in the dining room (our makeshift bedroom) which was empty. He was chatting to himself saying "oh maannnnn swiper - bed, crib"m
Apparently swiper took our furniture lol

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
my dd says a ton....hard to remember them on the spot
but....
she knows that DH paints so when we pass by houses, she will say "nice paint, my daddy did that"
When KJ is crying or fussing, she will say "don't fry baby Kevin, calm down"
When I put her into bed, I ask her what she is going to dream about...every night without fail, she says, in a whisper voice "I'll dream about puppies, you can dream about lollipops"
oh and one more,
one morning, miki climbed into bed with us and I was talking to her. She said "eww, mommy, your breath smells dirty"
yes mikayla, it is called morning breath and you have it too but you do not see me pointing it out

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
These are adorable!
I wanted to add one, I saw my 4yo cousin this weekend adn she was singing "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer" and I started singing back-up for her.
Her "you could even say it glows" Me "like a light bulb"
Her "used to laugh and call him names" Me "like pinnochio"
She never heard that before and I guess didn't appreciate my signing. She leaned over and said "zip it, lock it, put it in my pocket" and mimed locking my lips shuts and putting the key in her pocket and continued singing as I stood there speechless. Where does a 4 yo learn these things??

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
DD was holding a Little People person (a girl) and her magnifying glass which she's obsessed with. She looks at the bottom of the Little Person, where the shoes are...there's an indentation in the bottom of them with a little hole.
Using her magnifying glass, she inspects the hole, and...completely unprompted...says "Ah, I see her pee pee" DH and I nearly peed our pants....I asked her to repeat it and she did....she wasn't even laughing, she was serious.
We don't even refer to that area like that when we talk about body parts, we say "privates"...so not sure where she got that from.

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
Joseph (8 years old) always uses 10-cent words & while he always uses them correctly, I ask him if he knows what they mean. Sometimes he does know; sometimes he doesn't know. I've told him I only want him to use words he knows the meaning of because he can get himself in trouble.
We were driving to dinner & DH asked a question. Joseph said "Is that a rhetorical question?" I said "yes but do you know what rhetorical means?" He responded, "A question that you don't have to answer." DH corrected "No. It's a question that doesn't need an answer." But that was close enough.
The next day, we were shoveling for 3 hours on Sunday - all the time listening to him scream from the top of the "snow mountain"..."I am the king! Enjoy my hospitality" (yes the temptation to nail him with a snowball was at an all time high).
So I asked "Do you know what hospitality means?"
"Of course I do. It's itality...you know like Italy...but in a hospital".

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?
These are awesome!!
We've been cracking up about this one since Sunday.
Chris works nights, so usually Christopher and I have to go wake him up. He happened to wake up on his own and go into the bathroom to shower. I was standing in the kitchen talking to Katie when C3 runs in and goes, all alarmed
"MOMMY!! SomeBODY is in my bathroom!!!!!" and he whispered it in this stage whisper.
At that point, Chris came out nad C3 goes "OH its DADDY! YAY! Me so happy"
Oh and Christopher can't (or won't) say Christopher, if you ask him his name, he says "Me"
The last one was cute. He came in with a penny and said "This is my lucky coin, Pop pop gave me"
