Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

When DS wants me to do something he will start the sentence...
"Mommy....how about you...."

Yesterday I dropped an egg and said oh $h!t so he said "it's OK..it was only an accident Mommy"

And now when one of the twins cries he wll say "stop crying, you Leah/Michael is trying to nap" Chat Icon

When DD wants to say "clock" she leaves off the "l". We also have a similar problem with Tuck from the Wonder Pets, she replaces the T with a a C.

She takes ornaments off the tree, brings them to her room and refers to them as her "babies".

Abby says "juice" when she points to anything in a sippy cup or a bottle, but it sounds like a product with the brand name of "Summer's Eve!"Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

DD can't say "L's" or "S's" either...

So a few weeks ago, when there were leaves on the ground instead of snow, we were outside with my parents' dog, and DD stops and promptly pulls something out of the pile of leaves she was playing in...with an exbuerant

"I FOUND D!CK!!!!"
(I found a STICK!)....

I am working from home today with my 3 1/2 year old and 4 month old and no babysitter so I am trying to do everything.

DD was sitting at the table waiting for lunch and to be honest I had kind of forgotten to get it for her as DS did a massive blow out in his diaper so I had to give him a bath. So I am sitting on the couch dressing him and she says;

DD: Mom
ME: YES !!! frazzled. frazzled:
DD: What are the chances of me getting lunch today?
ME: Laughing...slim to none.
DD: Okay with a big sigh.....

Needless to say I dropped everything there and then and got the poor little mite her lunchChat Icon

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

So my mom was teaching Sabrina about the Nativity and who all the people are. I came in from work and saw Sabrina with a her play phone. Our convo.

Mommy: Sabrina, who are you talking to?
Sabrina: Shhh, Mommy. I'm on the phone.
Mommy: Okay, who it is?
Sabrina (ignoring me): Hi, Mary...where's Joseph?....oh... (looks at Mommy). Joseph is building a cradle for the baby Jesus

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

My DD is just a baby so nothing funny there, but I do have two funny stories about the 5 yr old I babysit forChat Icon

I watched her a couple weekends ago and I was playing tag in the basement playroom. She declares she has to use the potty and will be right back (there's a bathroom in the basement). A few minutes later she comes out and this is our convo:

Her: Jen, guess what?
Me: what?
Her: My poop looks like beansChat Icon
Me: Thank you for sharing that with meChat Icon
Her: But I don't even LIKE beans!Chat Icon
Me: Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was talking to her mom recently and she told me about how the same little girl discovered the F word and used it quite appropriately. She was told it was time to clean up, brush her teeth and get ready for bed. When she asked for more time her mother told her no- it's bedtime. We don't play at bedtime. Her response? My kids just started talking but a few cute things they say are:

Nananna for Bananna

When I ask them what does a dog say. They say VA! I say woof so I'm not sure where they got VA from but it definitely is their version of Woof

I also say What does Mommy say? I love you! and they think I am saying Peek a boo-they put their hands over their eyes. Chat Icon

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

My boys are almost 8 years old and 4.5 years old...so I have some doozies.

My 4.5 year old is a pip. Some phrases that pop into mind are:

* (when he asks for a snack at 9 am):
"Iknowyou'regonnasaynotothis, but..." all smushed together like that.

* (when he pees before coming to the table and says with a great sigh)
"Sorry I'm late for dinner"

* and this he must have heard from his big brother, but put his spin on it:
"Chillax ma...don't have a commission." (conniption) Chat Icon

Last week, I said to DS, "OK bathtime!" and he busted out with "5 mimutes, mommy, 5 mimutes." Since when can he tell time? Chat Icon

When we were at church a couple of weeks ago, at the end when we stood up to leave, he also yelled "hallelujah!" and everyone busted out laughing. Sometimes I really don't know where he learns this stuff...

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

My 7 yr old nephew was at a friend's house and the mom asked him "what can I get you honey?" He sat down at the table and said "a beer and a smoke!"

According to my brother - he watches too much George Lopez - the mom on the show always says that. Neither my brother nor my SIL drink or smoke...

My 5 yr old son and my 2 yrs old daughter were in the car singing Old McDonald Had a Farm. I joined in and my son says..."mom, mom Old McDonald doesn't have anymore animals, they all ran off the farm when they heard you sing"
My DH laughed so hard he has to pull over

"Time is it?? Snack time!!"

(or whatever she wants at that moment, but it's usually a snack)

"Morning Baby Jesus"

"One more time!!!" (and she will say this about 50 times, until she FINALLY says "last time!")

Today she was carrying around a vanilla candle (our power went out last night). When we got out of the car, she put it in her carseat and said "Stay there, nilla candle, stay there. Ale right back."

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

Yesterday DD came home from school with the present she made for us. She gave me a whole speech about how it had to go under the tree & we could not open it until Christmas & that it's a SURPRISE & she can't tell me what it is & she kept emphaising this rule. Then She says "You'll open it on Christmas & tell me how beautiful it is & then you'll hang it on the tree. But I can't tell you what it is because it's a surprise!" Chat Icon Gee, I wonder what it could be!

Then she asked how long until Christmas & told me she couldn't wait "four stinky days" & made us open it anyway.

Re: can we do a round of funniest things your kids say?

These are so cute!

When I tuck DD into bed she'll say I love you and I say Love you too. Then she says I miss you.

I used to say it back but one day I explained that you say I miss you when you don't see someone. So she turned her head to the side and I asked what's wrong and she said "Nofin...I can't see you...miss you". So now I just say "Miss you too".Chat Icon
