I would like to vent about the annoying things people say about IF. My favorite is "don't worry it will happen" and "you just have to relax"

Yep, those are classic, as well as, "It just wasn't meant to be." And "God has a plan for you." Oh, and how can I forget,"it's not your time yet, but it'll come." As someone who's been trying for 5 years now, I think I've heard them all and I have come close more than once to banging quite a few heads against the wall!!

My all time favorite is... "Maybe you just need to take a long break" ..

Of course I considered that myself too, but that's nobody's business to even suggest!! (unless I ask for someone's opinion)

This one from my mom: "Have you considered taking prenatal vitamins?"

Gee, why didn't I think of that???

Or from MIL: "I know how you feel. It took me over 6 months to conceive your sister."

God give me patience.

I can't stand it. I personally love people telling me after our first (which we had already) they just KNOW we will conceive on our own. Yeah, that doesn't really work with male factor.

Oh, and my all time favorite from MIL "you two should just have sex like normal people to get pregnant". Yeah, as you can see that worked out REAL well for 2 years. And I'm just going through IVF for the fun of it.

omg! you r sooo lucky u r not pregnant..i have gained like 5 pounds!

or scratch the 5 pounds and switch to..
A.nothing to wear! you canwear whatever

B.i wish i coud have a big drink!

C.u have so much time to yourselves!

hey dipsh!t..ur pregnant..that tends to make one gain weight..deal with it

A.u r buying maternity clothes..i am staring at maternity clothes in store wishing i could wear them

B.jealous of me drinking?? i am drinking to deal withthe pain of the reason u cannot drink

C.actually i dont bc i spend most of my time at my doc office,or getting inseminated,or going to the bank to pay off ivf,or injecting my stomach and as$ or just sitting on the couch crying


i also seem to get the people who r like omg..it took us sooo long we have been doing this for 3 months! one week we had to have sex like 3 times! i am exhausted!

but i think my topper is when someone says...i know or can imagine how you feel...have you ever mc?have u been through IF..if not then u dont sorry

sorry for the rant..just having bad week...maybe i need to go relax

A new one that developed over the course of my day...........

My mom called and told me all these ideas she had to thicken my lining. I know she was just trying to be helpful, but does she REALLY think she will come up with some groundbreaking new idea that Dr.B hasn't already thought of??!


Oh yea and then I had a friend tonight tell me she totally understands where I'm coming from with the fertility stuff.. Umm.. she's single and not at allll in the mindset of having kids anytime soon. I appreciate that she thinks she can identify, but that got tossed out the window when she threw out the followup statement - "have you concerned adoption?"
