Re: Can we talk sleeping
I don't know what to say, but for me I feel like its just getting worse as the pregnancy continues...I'm 37 weeks
I put a pillow between my legs, otherwise its too painful, it hurts like HE11 to turn from side to side, and I pee 3-4x a night as well. I also use a lot more pillows now too
Hang in there!

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I have been fortunate, with the exception of a couple of nights here & there, I have been sleeping pretty well this pregnancy. Now that the CAC is on, I find a very comfy spot but still get up 2-3x's a night but once I get back into bed, I have no trouble falling asleep.

A lot of people on here recommend the Snoogle for comfort. I'm starting to get used to and enjoy mine. If you buy is a BBB you can use a non-expired bed bath coupon

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I have to say honestly this whole waking up thing while you are pregnant is a true example of what it is going to be like when your dc is born.
Trust me!!
I'm so sorry you are having trouble though, i found the more pillows the better helped.. also, the couch worked for me a lot of times. I hated not sleeping with DH But i needed my sleep!!

Same for me. I sleep like a champ. I've always been a heavy sleeper, so maybe that helps.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
let me first start out by saying.. i slept AMAZING till i hit 33 weeks. now at 35 weeks im up every hour at night, last night i saw every 1/2 hour so if you do the math thats getting up 8-10 times a night!. its AWFUL!!!!!!!! i literally didnt get a full hour uninterupted at all... but like a pp stated its good practice for when DD comes!
my only suggestion is.. i have the boppy snoggle and i loooooooove it!!!! this is how i sleep at night when i do sleep.... 2 pillows under my head, 1 thin one under my belly helps relieve pressure, one under my back to keep my proped up and then my snoogle rolled up into a HUGE cirlce that i put between my legs so my legs are elevetated from the hip to the foot. its like a cloud of pillows but it really works.. oh and the AC blasting at 60* otherwise im a cranky b!tch!

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I'm still pretty comfortable sleeping, but my problem is the peeing. It's constant. I even try to make sure I don't drink anything past 7, but it just doesn't matter. I think I got up at least 5 times from 10 last night til 6 this morning.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I haven't been able to sleep well since the beginning of my 2nd trimester.
First it was the leg cramps. Got a body pillow, that helped. Then my entire 2nd tri, I had insomnia.
Now I have heartburn, hip pain, bathroom 2-3x/ night and can't breathe so my DH tells me I snore and I have to turn 80 times a night!
It's just Mother Nature's way of telling us to be prepared to be up all night with the baby!

Re: Can we talk sleeping
The sleeping was the worst for me in the beginning. I had really bad insomnia. Now (at 31 wks) I fall into such a deep sleep that when I wake up to pee or switch positions I'm in such a fog, I fall immediately back to sleep. I hope it gets better for you!

this is what I am telling myself...that it's natures way of training me
I wake up AT LEAST 4-5 times a night and have trouble getting back. I've never been a good sleeper though.
all I can suggest is trying to get to sleep earlier, so you can get more "cat naps" throughout the night.
short of getting a depends, there is nothing I can say about the peeing.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
It's all about the pillows for me, I put one in between my legs and than 3 behind me. I usually sleep through the night with the occasional pee breaks here and there but it's teh whole waking up at 5/6 and not being able to fall back asleep that really kills me.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
The snoogle!!!! It's wonderful. I was so upset b/c I didn't think I would need it this past weekend while we were away. I slept horribly friday night so, DH surprised me and asked housekeeping for 6 extra pillows!! He arranged them all for me that night all around me so I could sleep.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
Im in the same boat! The babies are laying right on my bladder so 2-3 times a night to me is a GOOD NIGHT....Most times I pee every hr and not a lot comes out ....add carpal tunnel really bad and hip pain from the belly size and I sleep like crap.
When I was PG with my Son I was on Bedrest and slept a lot and I hated it, but chasing after a 2 yr old on no sleep makes me want those bed rest days back sometimes
eta- and I have the snoogle and it doesnt help....although without it I think I would go insane.. LOL

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I was up 2-3 times a night for most of the nights between 18-26 weeks. I'll be 28 weeks on Wednesday and have slept through the night for the past week and a half or so.
The only bad thing about sleeping through the night is that I have to "go" so badly in the mornings when I wake up that it hurts.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I feel your pain, babe. Since very early on in the pregnancy...and I wasn't getting up that often to pee, I would wake up and stay up for a good 2 hours. I had some stretches where it was better but it hasn't been 'better' in ages now. I'd MUCH rather be wide awake for a good reason, like taking care of a baby than for nothing!

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I haven't had a good night's sleep since the first trimester. I'm 25 weeks, and every night sounds exactly as you've described-- up to pee and struggling to find a comfortable position. Add to that the occasional charleyhorse and you've described my new definition of night time sleep. I have the snoogle, it helps at times.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I was always a 2-3 times a night pee'er (? umm...), but now it's more..ugh. I did get the snoogle last night & I find that I can fall back to sleep faster & deeper with it, but of course still getting up to go to the bathroom several times a night.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
I sleep pretty darn good! Chasing and playing with a 2 and 1 year old will make you sleep like a baby....
Ocassionally I will have 1 pee break but my body is trained to hold it.
Once in a while I'll have insomnia that will last an hour or so but I finally fall back asleep only to wake up at 6:00 am anyway.

Re: Can we talk sleeping
For the most part, I'm sleeping ok. I get up about 1-2x a night to pee, but I'm getting good at ignoring it and falling back asleep.
HOWEVER....it's really my husband's snoring lately that wakes me up and that's when I have a hard time falling back asleep.
I have my snoogle, I love it and am very comfy.
I definitely try to limit my water after 8pm, that seems to help me out.

I'm just about 20 weeks as well and the same here. I wake up every morning at 4am on the dot, and usually two or three other times during the night. By 6am, my hips hurt so bad I can't fall back asleep, even with a pillow between my legs.
