Can you fly at 7-1/2 months pregnant? **Update - Contacted Airlines***

DH and I were offered a trip to Florida for FREE and would love to go so we can see his mom and dad and just get away for a few days...but is it safe?

ETA: I called the airline 9Jet Blue) and they said:

"Pregnancy is NOT an issue and you cannot be denied to board UNLESS you know you are medically not able to fly, or showing signs of not feeling well. No letters are needed, but welcomed."

This is purely up to your doctor I think. Your dr. is the only one who knows the INDIVIDUAL risks you may have.

I'll be 33 weeks when this comes. Oh I hope he says I can....I could really use a mini-vacation.

I think the airlines require a note from the doctor ok-ing you to fly.

You need to check with the airlines what their requirments are. They may require a note from your dr. They may also just tell you no.

They don't want late pregnancy women on their plane. The difference in pressure can induce labor. Obviously, that's the last thing they want while the plane is in the air.

Thanks, but I do plan to get a note from my doctor.

I was just mentioning it because I had a friend who was refused to board a plane by an airline (can't remember which one) and she had a dr's note.
