Can you help me with window treatments in the kitchen?
Pics in my album:
Kitchen
Don't mind all the baby stuff on the counters and we still haven't done the tile (which will be very neutral beige/goldish porcelein). I need to do something with this bay window for privacy - but not too heavy (small kitchen) and match it with the other window. Roman shades? Too heavy? What color?

I think a roman shade would look nice - maybe one that is on the sheer side. I also think a balloon shade would look nice too.
I don't think you need to match the other window, if you coordinate it, I think that would look fine! Looks great!

I think it depends on the look you are going for. Our floors and kitchen set are rustic looking, so that is what we wanted for the shades. There are sooooooooooo many types, colors, materials. Take a look, bring a swatch of your paint and see what you might like. While mine look dark, they allow light in and you can see the outside too. I have a long kitchen with the windows at the end, so does not make mine look small at all.

Maybe sheer tiers around the bay window?
Or a sheer Roman shade/rollup drape shades?

I would do simple roman shades that are sheer/linen to let light through.

Thanks - where are these from? I would let in as much light as possible - DH is concerned about privacy b/c when the trees in our yard are not in full bloom - our back neighbors can see in - if they cared to look.
