Can you please post your 6 month feeding schedule and when you did extras?
I know this has been done before and I searched but nothing included the extras. DS turned 6 months last Weds. At his dr. appt. the doctor said we can start bread (toast) and biscuits soon and almost everything else (meats, yogurt, cheeses, etc) at around 7 months. When do you fit this stuff in? Here is DS schedule. It is not always like this but approximate. He doesn't always finish bottles. 6 am - 6 oz bottle 9 am - rice cereal ( I am thinking of adding 1/2 a fruit here) 10/11 - 6 oz bottle 1/2 - veggie or fruit and 6 oz bottle 5 - 4-6 oz bottle 6 - oatmeal (I am thinking of adding 1/2 fruit, and 1/2 veggie) 8 - 4-6 oz bottle. This stuff is so confusing!!! Please help!

Re: Can you please post your 6 month feeding schedule and when you did extras?
well, i dont do extras yet but I figured when I do, I would give it after any meal.
Here is the schedule now
7am bottle 830 2 jars of food 11 bottle 1230 2 cars of food 300 bottle 430 2 jars of food 700 bottle
I figured i would add a breadstick or snack after the 2 jars of food. Or maybe cut back on a jar to save room in her tummy for an extra.

Re: Can you please post your 6 month feeding schedule and when you did extras?
DS turned 6 months on Friday and this is what we do:
7:00- 7/8oz bottle (sometimes only takes 7oz in the morning) 9:30 cereal and jar of fruit 11:30-12:00- 8oz bottle 5:00-6:00- 8oz bottle 7:00 cereal and jar of veggie Sometimes he will take a small bottle after cereal and veggie at night.
We go to the ped. tomorrow for the 6 month check up so I'm sure the ped will talk to us about adding more if needed.

5:15 am 6 ounce bottle
From 7am to 4pm Abby is in day care and her feedings are dependent upon her naps so I can't pinpoint times as they vary daily but go something like this:
Breakfast - Cereal or yogurt AND fruit
6 ounce bottle
Lunch - Cereal and Veggies mixed with chicken
6 ounce bottle
6 ounce bottle
Dinner - Cereal or Yogurt and Veggies mixed with chicken
(The veggies are either carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans or peas)

Emerson will be 6 months on the 19th and she has her well visit on the 25th so we'll see what he says about "extras" but right now this is her schedule.
6:30-7:00am - 7oz. formula bottle, 4tsp. cereal, and 1/2 jar fruit
11:30-12pm - 7oz. formula bottle
3-3:30pm - 7oz. formula bottle, 4tsp. cereal, and 1/2 jar veggies
7-7:30pm - 7-8oz. formula bottle then bed

Re: Can you please post your 6 month feeding schedule and when you did extras?
DS is almost 6/5 months old, and the only extra he gets is yogurt right now
we just established a new feeding schedule - it varies based on when he wakes up but looks something like this:
5:30am - 8 oz. bottle
9:30am - 1/2 jar (2 oz.) of fruit with 2 tbsp cereal mixed in
10:00am - 8 oz. bottle
2:00 pm - 1/2 jar veggie with 2 tbsp cereal mixed in
2:30pm - 8 oz. bottle
6:00pm - 8 oz. bottle
6:30pm - 2 tbsp yogurt
DS goes to bed early, around 7pm, and he often starts to get tired around 6pm, so i try to give him his solids earlier in the day - otherwise he gets fussy in the high chair and won't eat.
when i went for his 6 month visit, the ped only told me i could try yogurt, she said nothing about other foods, and i don't think he is ready. when he is, i'll offer them after his bottles.
