Can you please recommend your gyno
I am located in South Amityville. I was going to South Bay ob/gyn in West Islip but I hate it. Every time they do a test they never tell me the results, even if they are serious. Seriously, the way I found out about a result was by looking at my file pulled up on the computer while I was stuck waiting in the room for 45 mins. These people put my health in jeopardy and I want to see someone else. Not to mention the receptionists are SOOOO nasty and I have waited up to 2 hours to see a dr.

Re: Can you please recommend your gyno
My gyno is awesome. Dr. Hanauer in Garden City. She is the best and delivered my 2 nieces. The only drawback is you have to book her at least 2 months in advance and the line is always busy.

Re: Can you please recommend your gyno
I left South Bay for the same reasons as you. I really liked the docs, but the staff and nurses and the way the office is run is HORRIBLE.
I went to Comprehensive OBGYN, it's a little bit more east on montauk hwy. They were very good and thorogh and almost no wait!! I saw the midwife/NP they have on staff, can't remember her name off the top of my head. Good luck!!

Re: Can you please recommend your gyno
If I still lived in Massapequa, I'd be going to Dr. Laurence Mack in Massapequa on Broadway. He is attentive, a very knowledgable doctor, and has great bedside manner. My mother and grandmother have been going to him for over 20 years.

ughhh... hated South Bay.
Felt about as personal as an oil change. Except with a longer wait.

Re: Can you please recommend your gyno
wow, I am glad it's not just me that left South Bay for those reasons. I hated it there, I didn't even like my doctor. I now go to Dr. Callan with Mt Sinai North Shore Medical Group and LOVE HER!! I know it would be a drive for you but I figured I would mention anyway since I love her so much! The first time I went there she sat with me for about an hour in her office just talking to me and answering my questions so that I would be prepared when we start TTC. I just love her and I know a lot of other ppl on here do, that's how I found her.
