Can you reccomend your point and shoot digital camera?

I have a canon powershot now but it's a couple of years old. It takes blurry pictures alot and doesn't zoom in well. When Chat Icon arrives I will be a picture taking freak, and want one with excellent clarity. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a $700 SLR or anything like that. My limit is 200..MAYBE 300.

Recommend please!

I have the panasonic lumix fs 5. I get some blurry pictures but that's because I haven't taken the time to read the manual and figure out all of the settings.

Re: Can you reccomend your point and shoot digital camera?

I just bought a Sony Cybershot with 12 megpix and I like it so far. It was about $150. I didn't want to spend more than $200 and this was my favorite of all that I was looking at.
ETA: This camera has a rechargeable Lithium battery. A lot of the cameras in this price range take 2 AA batteries, which I didn't want.

I've been using my sister's panasonic lumix and it's great. It takes pictures pretty quickly (very little lag time between photos). We're also looking to buy a new camera since mine is almost 4 years old and it's so sloooooow. I was looking to buy the lumix but I only found it for 250 and was hoping not to spend over 200.

I'v eheard the canon elphs are good also. I haven't looked into them yet.

I was just about to post this! Do you mind if I x-post it to NFR?? My camera was out for repair and Cannon is accusing us of damaging it.. We didn't and they want to void the warrenty and charge 120 to fix it! We had the Cannon Powershot and it was 300$ But, we can't spend that again right now.
For the price of the repair I might as well get a new one. I like the look of the Nikon Coolpix.

I got the Nikon Coolpix P80 last year, it's the best investment ever!!
Last year i got it for $350 so i would imagine the price has gone down, but its got an awesome zoom(18x optical zoom) and 10.1 megapixels. We've taken it on vacation, and it's taken great pics of our new little one!

The 10 megapixel Lumix I have was $180. They recently had it on sale at costco as well. I have heard great things about the Canon G9. Its in between a point and shoot and SLR.
