Can you recommend your bank?
DH uses CitiBank and they are seriously pissing me off.
They have blocked TWO consecutive payments to our credit cards (which are with CitiCards) EVEN though he has sufficient funds, which is causing us to incur finance charges on our credits cards when we meant to pay them in full.
I am irate.
Please recommend your bank!

wow, I have Citibank and I am really happy.
I've been to Chase and was unhappy.

we have bank accounts at different banks. we have chase, bank of america and wachovia. I also have an account with a credit union.
Can you tell that I like my money spread out? lol

We transferred money from his savings account (with Citi) to his checking account to cover our credit card payment, but I guess the transfer did not post the same day? So when CitiCard tried to extract the payment, CitiBank said he did not have sufficient funds.
I don't understand how their systems work - when he made the transfer and looked at his balance, it seemed that the transfer occured immediately. I guess it doesn't.
This may be an issue with all banks - i just have never encountered it with mine. It's just that DH can't be with my bank for personal reasons.

I agree, DH has had an acct there for something like 18 yrs. I never have a problem with them.

I have HSBC and so far no problems and a good interest rate for their online savings account (although it keeps going down . . boo stockmarket). I hated bank of america when I had them.

I work for citi and when you transfer money it is instant! call back ask for a manager

DH and I had problems with his Commerce bank and now with his Citibank... I've had my account at BFCU in Bethpage since I was 18 and I've never had a problem.

My DH had many problems with Chase before we joined our finances.
My father was an executive for Chase for years. The first thing he did when he retired was get rid of his Chase bank account. 
To each his own, though. We all have different needs and experiences!

WaMu....love love love them. Has Astoria in the past and hated them (I questioned a 6 digit check number that I didn't write and they NEVER looked into it despite numerous phone calls. I finally figured out that I made a payment by phone and they made up the check number).
