Can you share your morning routines with me? 9-10-11 months old.
Can you tell me about your morning routine for your 10 month old???
Usually Megan will wake up, I change her, give her a bottle and then hold and play with her for a bit. I used to be able to put her in her exersaucer while I drank a quick cup of coffee..I would put Nickelodean on, sometimes she would watch, sometimes it was just on for sound. She would stay in there for about 20 minutes. Then I would make her breakfast, feed her, clean her up and play with her on the floor for another half hour.
By that time, she was usually ready for a morning nap. All of that has changed. She HATES her exersaucer now..she screams when I put her in. She HATES to nap and although she seems tired enough to go down, she fights it like crazy. I dont get a minute to myself at all.
I was wondering what your morning routines are like. I am looking for any different ideas! TIA!

Re: Can you share your morning routines with me? 9-10-11 months old.
DD gets up at about 6 am. I leave her in her crib coo-ing and talking to herself until about 6:30 am. I try to shower between 6-6:30. If she's screaming or crying, I will put her in the swing while I shower. I change her diaper when I take her out of her crib and then I take her into my room while I get ready for work. DH showers while I get DD and myself ready for the day. I sit her on my bed with a toy and at 6:30 Barney is on, and at 7 Sesame street is on at 7 She will play with her toy and watch TV while I get ready. At about 7:15-7:30 I'm finished, and I take her downstairs to have breakfast. She has her cereal and then I get her dressed. If DH is not finished getting ready, I put her in the rocker chair and leave for work and my older stepdaughter will look after her until DH is finished or she leaves for school.
ETA: She usually naps from 10-12 ish.

Cio doesnt work with Megan. She screams so bad that she makes herself sick. She turns beet red and gags. Theres no stopping point. She doesnt calm herself down at all. Its awful. I do let her cry a bit before she gets like that and then I go sit in the room with her..but that never makes her fall asleep, she thinks its play time then.

He wakes up anywhere from 5:15-6:30, if it's before 6 I change him, give a bottle and he goes back in the crib. Sometimes goes back to sleep, but if not then he plays in his pack n play or crawls around while we get ready for work. He wont stay in the exersaucer very long anymore either unless I'm right there. He wants to be on the move!

DS wakes up between 6-7. I change him, give him a bottle and he will watch Noggin in his highchair while I get ready
8:00, I feed him breakfast and he plays until 10:00 when he takes a nap (1-2 hours)
Gets up from nap and plays until lunch time
12:00- feed him lunch and then plays until his next nap
DS does not like his exersaucer..hasnt for a while
He is all over, crawling, standing, pulling himself up, walking while holding on to the couch, table etc.
He doesnt stay still~

Hmmm... Lets see
Katia wakes up around 7:30, I go in change her diaper give her a bottle and then snuggle with her for about 10 min. I then put her back in the crib with some toys and she plays for about 45 minutes. I go back in and get her at about 8:30, and put her in the exersaucer and then put on Nick Jr for her while i check email and make coffee. i then make her breakfast and feed her around 9:30. I then put her back in front of the TV while still in the highchair and I take a quick shower.
She then goes down for a nap around 11:30 after a bottle.
She just turned 10 months last week.

Re: Can you share your morning routines with me? 9-10-11 months old.
Since I go to work and MIL takes care of DS during the week here is my schedule for the weekend (which MIL & DH follow during the week).
DS gets up between 6:30-7:30. He gets a diaper change and he plays. Between 8 - 8:30 he has a bottle and a bowl of cereal. He watches the shows he likes on the Disney Channel will play some more and then between 10-11 he usually falls asleep for a nap for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Then between 12-1 he has lunch, which is a Stage 2 jar of veggies & fruit. Then he will play. He might fall asleep for an afternoon nap between 1:30-2:30 for an hour or so. When he gets up he will either have a yogurt or a pudding. Then between 5-6 he has dinner which is Stage 2 jars of fruit, veggie & meat. Then between 8-9 he has a bottle and then goes to bed. If he is hungry between meals he has Gerber puffs, juice, etc.

DS - 10 1/2 months old
wakes up between 7-8, I don't get him from his crib untill I here him crying (sometimes he will play in his crib). Most of the time I change him right away and get him dressed for the day.
While he is giving himself a bottle, I'm getting ready for work (DH is gone before DS is awake). DS will play in his room or around me while I finish getting ready.
Than a quick drive to nanny's house. He has breakfast with her and than back to sleep for an 1 1/2 - 2 hour nap around 9-10.

I have been trying to decide whether or not to put the exersaucer away. I have not put DS in it for a while now but he does stand and play with the toys (only 2-4 minutes before he is off to something else)

Re: Can you share your morning routines with me? 9-10-11 months old.
Ok, Ava's a little older, but I'll tell you what her morning is like. When she wakes up, she goes directly into the pack n play and drinks her cup of soymilk. I turn on Noggin and give her some books and toys, and I usually go shower, or if she happened to wake up really early, I go back to bed.(the pack n play is next to our bed, so no one think I leave my kid by herself in the livingroom or something ) Anyway, she chills in her pnp for about an hour because she really likes to take her time waking up. Then, she has breakfast, then it's run-yourself-silly time. During this hour-hour and a half, it's all about her and getting her active and running around. Then, it's naptime. She usually sleeps two-three hours, but sometimes less. At her age, she would most likely lose interest in the exersaucer. She's mobile now and they hate to be confined. I'm extremely lucky that Ava will still use the pack n play, but we've really worked on getting her to sit in there and play when we need her to. At first it was just a few minutes, and over a few weeks, we stretched it so that we can get a good hour out of her in there(excluding the morning time, she always loved that). Because, let's face it, I have stuff to do. And I love my baby girl to death, but I don't want her running around as I clean the bathroom or vacuum, and I don't want to space those things out during the day. I say break out the pack n play and maybe start with giving her a few new toys. That should keep her interest for a few minutes at least.
