Re: can you tell me whata typical eating schedule is for a 2 1/2 year old.
DD just turned 2.5 She doesn't really eat that well. I just stopped giving her milk because she has been having very messy poops going on a month now. I thought it was from teething her 2 year molars, but now I'm wondering if it's dairy. I plan on taking her to the dr. about this next week. so, here is a typical day since i stopped the milk:
Breakfast at around 7:30-8 am: OJ mixed with water, a banana, and usually a Kashi TLC fruit bar.
snack on the go during the morning: a bag of Annie's bunny cookies
lunch around 12: peanut butter & jelly sandwich and water
snack around 3ish: bowl of strawberries
dinner around 6: pasta with tomato sauce or Dr. Prager's fishies and water
She also gets a multivitamin (when I remember to give it to her)

Re: can you tell me whata typical eating schedule is for a 2 1/2 year old.
My DD is 2 1/2 and her routine is to not eat! I'm seriously wondering how she grows. A typical day will include one meal flanked by milk and water. She just doesn't eat a lot, but shes growing, so I'm not worried.
I give her meals and if she doesn't eat them I don't stress over it.

Re: can you tell me whata typical eating schedule is for a 2 1/2 year old.
DD is 2 1/2 and it varies from day to day- some days she is a super good eater. Other days, she survives on pretzel rods.
Normally she'll eat: breakfast: cup of milk either a PB&J on whole wheat bread, 2 scrambled eggs, or a bowl of mini wheats or cheerios.
Snack: pretzel rod dipped in peanut butter sliced orange cheese stick
Lunch: cambell's low salt soup for kids- with some frozen veg added in - she can eat the whole can now. hotdog with veg cheeseburger meatballs japanese food (miso soup, edamame and cucumber roll)
Dinner: really anything we eat- but she's a true carnivore and loves steak. Last night she had baked beans, grilled steak and sliced cukes.
edited to add: with all meals & snacks she has either skim milk or juice (which is basically 8 oz water, 2 oz juice)
sometimes when we go out, she has 7-up as a treat... but never at home.

DD will be 3 in June....same situation here,
basically for breakfast she will have some sort of fruit and maybe a peice of toast, a pancake, or a cereal bar. (along with 8oz milk)
lunch is always very small - usually just a yogurt and some pretzels or wheat thins
dinner...ugh..this meal is always trouble. she only likes chinese food, pizza, grilled cheese, spegetti, or chicken nuggets.
she drinks another 8oz of milk before bed.
during the day she will drink watered down juic (/2 juice, 1/2 water)

Re: can you tell me whata typical eating schedule is for a 2 1/2 year old.
Another non-eater here. Most meals start with me begging her to eat it.
Breakfast (8:30ish) - sippy cup of milk (this is a guarantee for her everything else is a possiblity) Either a waffle, pancake, dry cereal or oatmeal (almost never finishes any of these)
Lunch (noonish) - watered down juice either sandwich with pretzels, egg salad or chicken salad occasionally fruit (apples or grapes) with the meal
Snack (3pm) -fruit or fruit bar or more pretzels
Dinner (5:30) -whatever we're eating with some more watered down juice
Evening snack (7:30) Milk and cookies but only if she's eaten a decent portion of dinner

Re: can you tell me whata typical eating schedule is for a 2 1/2 year old.
Lately....DS is not a good eater. If it let him he would just live on watermelon and strawberries.
7am - milk with ovaltine and friut -for breakfast the few things he eats are: -french toast waffle (softer than regular waffle) -3 mini pancakes - dry corn pops - sometimes a yogurt or oatmeal
12-1 - lunch is with water -again, mix up the few things he will eat - cream cheese and jelly - PBand jelly - pizza - chicken nuggets - mac and cheese
5:30ish - more water. I try to give him whatever we are eating but he usually refuses to eat it. by the end of dinner he will be begging for something, like mac and cheese or chicken. he will eat macaroni sometimes, and some kinds of chicken but no veggies!! the only way i get veggies in him are to sneak them into mac and cheese or muffins.
snacks - depending on our day he'll snack a little bit, but he's not a huge "snacker" -fruit - cereal bar - pudding - his new obsession is munchkins - graham crackers - jello - ice cream/italian ice/sherbert
