Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
I might have to be induced and wondered if you thought that was a bad thing or a good thing. Also, what was it like for you? Thanks.

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
for me it didn't work. had 20 hours of labor pushed for nearly 2 hours and wound up with an emergency c-section. DS was sideways...wish they could have told me that before I went through all that.
good luck!

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
Thanks for sharing. Yes, I would get an epidural either way..if I was induced or not. I am a big baby! Well, I should know after tomorrow if an induction is needed, so we'll see!

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
I was induced when I was 6 days past my due date. I did get the epidural and then my progress stalled at 5 cm for 3 hours so I ended up with a c-section. I didn't think the induction part was so bad. I was already having some contractions on my own. I had some complications at the end of the c-section, so that wasn't so great.

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
It took from Saturday 10 am until Monday 9 pm for me to have my baby. Induction is very hard, you go from no labor to 100% full on labor very very quickly, which is very scary. It is also risky because a failed induction is a C-section! I will wait with my next baby, natural is the way to go!!!

The same thing happened to me, I was in labor for 24 hours and tried to hold off after my DR. broke my water, but the contractions were so painful I needed that epidural

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
I had a great induction experience. I walked in that morning at 3cm and 25%, and was contracting on my own (very mild, I didn't feel them). THey started pitocin and 2 hours later I got my epi. 8 hrs later DS came out! I stalled at 8cm for a whiel but they kicked up the Pit and I was ready soon after. Pushed for 45 minutes and it felt like 5 minutes. No pain at all I was just exhausted and hungry. I'd do it again for sure!

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
It was a great experience for me. We went into the hospital at 3 and DS was delivered vaginally at 9:45. It was a million times better than the section I just experienced 6 weeks ago.

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
It was great for me as well bot I was 2.5cm and 50%eff already and having contractions for 2 1/2 MONTHS, stronger for 3 weeks. My body was ready to go!
People I know who didn't do as well had no contractions and a closed cervix with minimal effacement and a high station..

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
we chose to be induced with our DD and it was a GREAT experience. I was physically a little uncomfy, but shifting positions made it better.
She was delivered naturally 10 hours later with little effort.

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
Induction took me a long time....27 hours of labor...but I got the epidural and that really helped pass the time

Re: Can you tell me your experience with being induced?
I had to be induced - while I had a good experience I would not advise for everyone. It went relativly quick, BUT I was 70% effaced and 2 Dilated. It went much faster because of that. I labored for 4 hours and delivered in 45 mins. I would suggest doing some research online and getting different views. Sometimes Pitocin can have side affects. Good Luck!
