We have a 2010 Ford Edge Limited and we lovvvvvvvve it! (I was previously a Jeep Grand Cherokee owner too... loved my Jeep) Though it is a bit on the pricier side (we bought it, not leased), but that's more because it's a Limited. It has a lot of room in the backseat as far as car seats are concerned. We currently have a rear facing convertible seat and a rear facing infant seat, and we still have plenty of room to move the front seats back more if need be. We will need to upgrade though if we go for a third child because there is no room for anyone else to sit in the backseat now. Lots of trunk space, drives beautifully... we're VERY happy with it. We were soooo close to getting a Mazda CX7. Test drove really nice, had a lot of nice features in the car. Really the only reason we went with the Ford over the Mazda is because I liked the Edge's body style a little better. Good luck!!

We have a Chevy Equinox and we love it, no complaints at all.
We finance it and pay a little over 500.

I had an '08 CX7 and I liked it but I just got the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe and LOVE it! It's a little more spacious in the back seat than the CX7. In the SF, I had 2 car seats in the back and could fit in the middle (tight but I fit)....there is NO way I could have done that with the CX7. Plus there is way more trunk space (I can fit my large stroller, maclaren, and golf clubs and I still have room for other stuff). I felt like it offered a lot and I didn't get the top model...I have Blue tooth, ipod adapter and heated seats (standard in AWD even with no leather!). I can't say enough good things about it! I essentially paid DMV and bank fee up front ($1000) and I pay $395/month to lease. Santa Fe has really bad lease programs right now so I had to work hard to find a dealer who used a different bank. HTH!

I drive a 2007 Hyundai Tuscon. I love it. The payment is $325 a month. We bought it and put down $4000. The car seat is behind the passenger seat. If you had a really tall person sitting up front it wouldn't fit great. I am the only one who ever rides in the passenger seat up front, so I have the seat a little forward. Though my 6 ft dad has sat there and he can sit okay. We also own a Santa Fe. Great cars, great prices!

Dogde Journey. I love Jeeps and big trucks too. We are looking at the Journey for our everyday/commuting car with the kids. 2 Britax seats fit very well in the back seat, and the trunk was roomy.

We just leased the 2011 KIA sorrento. It is the one you see all the commercials for. We pay 350 a month, and I think put 3000 down. I love it. It drives more like a car than a truck, and is fully loaded. It has a third row too. We were between the KIA and the Honda piolet and went with the KIA b/c it came with more stuff for less. It has leather, heated seats, panoramic sunroof, and a ton of stuff. Defin worth test driving! The car seat goes on either side in the 2nd row with the latch. The third row has the teethers also.

We love our ford edge- car seat behind passanger seat as middle seat folds w other seat if you need to pack a lot in the trunk. Big trunk- can fit 2 strollers and other items. They had great deals when we were buying in Feb, not sure what they have now.
