plus we booked our fast passes already for every day we are there!
AJ loves her band. we may not even remove the outer layer.. haha i dont know yet.. If she loses it she gets a plain gray.. tempted to just get her a back up just in a case. What's cool is in the inside.. it has a mickey and our name on them.

I am going next August to Disney with my Entire Family. Is this something I will need?

We're going next month and I received an invitation to try these out. I haven't replied yet because I wasn't sure what the benefits were. Could you explain?

so instead of finding and pulling out your key card you use this instead.
To open your room door
To get into the park
To buy food
To buy other things if you have it linked to your account (signature still required - and no I won't do this)
Plus you can pre-order fast passes on it and have them linked to your band.
If you lose one, they cancel it (like your card key) and give you a new one (only in gray).
NOTHING is really different from a card key with the exception of wearing it on your wrist and you can pick your color, buy 'skins' for it there and decorate it. LOL (of course it IS Disney!)
and the bonus of the fast passes.... (which is in test mode now)

It was great to not have to pull out the card everytime but it's a little awkward to maneauver your wrist to open doors, pay for things, etc.
The Mickey head has to line up with the sensor....
The Fast Pass plus was the BOMB though.
